ESPN is launching the second dramatic series in their history,
called Tilt. The poker term 'Tilt' or
'On Tilt' refers to a poker player that is playing with
poorly or with emotion because of a bad beat on a previous
hand. Many poker players that take bad beats, start playing
on tilt and make bad decisions on the next few hands because
their emotions get in the way of smart poker play. ESPN
has decided to launch an entire poker series that will be
one hour long called Tilt each Thursday.
Brian Koppelman and David Levien wrote and will direct the pilot episode. They also wrote the screenplay for the famous poker film "Rounders" starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. Tilt is based on a few poker players that get into trouble, play cards for their lives and chase after a few girls along the way.
You can watch Tilt on ESPN on Thursday
starting January 13th, 9:00PM EST / 6:00PM PST. For more
information about the series, check out the official
tilt site on ESPN.
