You can never have too much poker on television, or at least GSN is hoping that America wants to watch a little more. Poker Royale: THE WPPA CHAMPIONSHIP, debuted on December 6th with the best ratings GSN has ever seen. To get a little help, former SNL cast member Kevin Nealon is hosting the show that is starting to sweep the nation.
Nealon will lend his humor and wit to the series by commentating on the amateur and professional poker player's hands as they ante up for their chance to win the tournament, and a chance to split $10 million dollars with a GSN viewer in the $10 Million Poker Sweepstakes.
Filmed at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, POKER ROYALE: THE WPPA CHAMPIONSHIP will allow poker fans across the country to enjoy the action of No Limit Texas Hold'em with buy-ins and blinds (a bet put in play before any cards are dealt) designed to emphasize skill over luck. Players include Carlos Mortensen, Kathy Liebert and Paul Wolfe.
